This past summer was a very exciting, productive,
eye-opening one for me. I spent most of summer working with SC State’s
University Marketing and Relations Department. I was given the opportunity to
learn more about public relations and get some experience in business
marketing.

This summer I was also able to attend the
NASAP StudentLeadership Institute. I was given the opportunity to meet many student leaders
from different HBCU’s across the nation.
I made many connections and friendships that
are still going strong today.

Lastly, the best and most fun part of my summer was when
went on our family cruise. Every time someone on my mom’s side of the family
graduates from college we go on a
Carnival cruise. This was our final graduation cruise
because my youngest cousin graduated from high school. We went to Grand Turk,
Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and St. Thomas.
